FAQ

Questions homeowners ask

My claim was denied. What are my options?

You can request a re-inspection with your carrier. We can re-photograph the roof, re-document visible damage, and provide updated contractor materials you can share with your carrier. Adjusters can miss damage or apply different wear-and-tear assumptions - re-documentation gives the carrier a clearer second look. Final claim decisions are made by your insurance carrier, not by us.

What is a supplement and how does it work?

A supplement is a formal request to add items to an approved claim that were missing from the original estimate - for example, drip edge, ice & water shield, code-required ventilation upgrades, or overhead and profit. Your carrier decides whether to approve a supplement; we can provide contractor documentation that explains why each line is part of the repair or replacement scope.

Do I have to use the contractor my insurance company recommends?

No. Tennessee law gives you the right to choose your own contractor. Insurance-recommended contractors are vetted by the carrier - Nashville Roof works for you, the homeowner. The claim check still moves through your hands either way.

Is there a deadline to file a storm claim?

Most Tennessee homeowner policies require claims to be filed within 1 year of the storm, but the sooner the better - visible damage gets harder to attribute to a specific storm as time passes. Some carriers have shorter windows. Call us and we will help you check.

What does this service cost me?

Nothing separately. Our documentation is bundled with the roof work when a claim is approved and Nashville Roof is selected as the contractor. You pay your deductible only, and only when the roof is replaced. Nashville Roof is a licensed roofing contractor, not a public adjuster.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are a fully licensed Tennessee roofing contractor carrying general liability and worker's compensation. We provide certificates on request before any work begins.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We partner with multiple lenders to offer 0% intro and long-term financing on roof replacements, repairs, and metal systems. We can pre-qualify you in minutes with a soft credit pull.

How fast can you get someone on my roof?

Most inspections and repair quotes happen within 24-48 hours. Storm response windows are even tighter when conditions allow.

Why should I choose Nashville Roof over a national chain?

We live and work in Middle Tennessee. Our owners answer the phone, our trained roofing crews honor every workmanship warranty in person, with certificates of insurance available on request. National chains pass you through call centers and use traveling sub-crews.
